Handel Lamps with Teroca Metal Shades

Handel teroca lamps are a type of lamp that The Handel Company made in the early part of the 20th century.  These lamps are usually made with a solid later of colorful slag glass.  The glass typically has pinks, yellows, and green tones that you would expect to see during a sunset.  The slag glass in then overlaid with a metal fitting.  The metal is often shaped to look like a grove of palms trees or other scenic landscapes.  Many lamp companies did styles similar to Handel’s teroca line.  Authentic examples are usually especially heavy, very colorful, and well executed.  Below are a few examples of Handel teroca lamps.
